Introduction


This IR Link enables:

  • Chating.
  • Playing 2 players games.
  • Controling TVs, VCRs, Sat Recievers...all from your calculator.
  • Controling your calc using a Remote Control.

The 'Remote Control' mode is not only limited to remote controlling; In fact it can send signals at any frequency and in any format, so that it can be used with everything that has to do with infrared. For example it can be used to communicate with other type of calculators or devices that uses IR.

The circuit can operate in 5 differents modes(a description of each mode will follow):

  • Linking without Acknowledge.
  • Linking with Acknowledge.*
  • Linking using Line-State.*
  • Remote Control sending.
  • Remote Control learning and recieving.*
  • I/O pin reading or writing.*

A detailed description of each mode can be found on the Description page.There are 2 versions of the IR Link, the LITE one and the STANDART one.

The LITE one enables the modes:

  • Linking without Acknowledgment.
  • Remote Control sending.

While the modes in the STANDART version are:

  • Linking without Acknowledge.
  • Linking with Acknowledge.*
  • Linking using Line-State.*
  • Remote Control sending.
  • Remote Control learning and recieving.*
  • I/O pin reading or writing.*

In this text everything marked with a * is only supported in the STANDART version.
